Oak and Cherry

At Brackenhill Primary School, our aim is to maximise each individual child’s potential and enrich their development as they take their foundation steps in life. We do this by providing children with a safe, warm and stimulating environment in which they feel loved and can learn through play.

Our environment allows for children to become curious and independent learners through well-planned and organised activities, many of which lead directly from children’s interests. We also strive to ensure all our children feel challenged in everything they do so that they may grow and flourish in to resilient little learners.

In Oak Class, Mrs Khanum is the Class Teacher all day on Mondays and Tuesdays. She also teaches on Wednesday mornings. Mrs Rashid is the Class Teacher on Wednesday afternoons and all day on Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs Parkington-Camden also helps children in Oak Class and she is an Early Years Practitioner.

In Cherry Class, Ms Bulmer is the Class Teacher Monday to Friday. Mrs O’Connor is the Early Years Practitioner and works in this class.

In addition to this, Reception are very lucky to have additional adults who help them with their learning. Miss Rawson & Mrs Seedat are both Teaching Assistants and work across the Early Years Foundation Stage. Miss Rawson works every morning Monday to Friday and Mrs Seedat works every afternoon Monday to Friday.
