This week in DT, children have been designing their own versions of ‘hairy trousers’ inspired by the legendary Ragnar Lothbrok. We are so proud of their fantastic concepts and enthusiasm — a brilliant mix of history and creativity!
Science
Some of our children have been observing caterpillars in school for the last couple of weeks and were very surprised one morning this week when beautiful butterflies hatched from their cocoons!
Year 1 – Maths
As mathematicians, Year 1 have explored volume this week. In our measurement challenge, we chose a label and poured that amount of water into the cup. We even managed without any spillages!

The Reception children became little artists and performers this week as they explored the world of Michael Jackson! Inspired by his exciting music and style, the children drew around one of their friends to create a life-sized Michael Jackson. They painted, decorated...

In DT, we learned about the saga of Ragnar Lothbrok and his famous hairy trousers. We designed and made our own versions using different materials and creative patterns. Everyone showed great imagination and worked carefully to create unique designs.
Year 6
We are so proud of the way our year 6 children have approached their SATs this week. They have come to SATs breakfast club, enjoyed each others' company and supported and encouraged one another before their tests. Thank you to Elmer class for letting their butterflies...
