Year 6 – PSHE

Year 6 were so lucky to have a visit from Jude, from The Peace Museum, who delivered a fantastic, thought provoking workshop about propaganda. We learned about the importance of checking facts and not believing everything we see and read online. #PeaceMuseumUK #Year6

Year 6 – PSHE

Thank you to our lovely prefects, Ismail, Arabella, Sarina and Yunus who have been fantastic helpers at both parents’ evenings this year.  They have directed parents to where they needed to go, helped with the bookfair and even delivered biscuits to our wonderful teachers.  Thank you for all your help!

Year 5 – PSHE

As part of the intergenerational linking project, our Year 5 children visited the residents at Brackenhall Court. We played lots of games and a great time was had by all!  #intergenerationallinking #newfriends

Year 4 – PSHE

In PSHE, Year 4 have been learning about debates. We looked at 3 scenarios and debated if we strongly agree, agree, strongly disagree or disagree. The children put their view points across very sensibly.

Year 4 – PSHE

Year 4 had a fantastic time visiting the Police museum when it came to school. We learnt all about how the police force uniform and equipment has changed over time and lots of facts about the Victorian era and how they laws and punishments changed since then for the better!  #lawandorder #britishvalues #police

Year 5 – PSHE

In today’s blog post, we are going to talk about an important topic – mental health. Sometimes life can be overwhelming, and it’s crucial to learn effective coping mechanisms to help us navigate through challenging times. One popular tool we looked at in Year 5 is that many people find it helpful to use stress balls. These small, squishy balls can be squeezed and manipulated, allowing us to release tension and stress!

Nursery – PSHE

This week in Nursery we have started our new topic, Help is at Hand. We have started to learn about people who help us and different jobs we might have when we grow up. The children have enjoyed learning about doctors and nurses and role playing in the toy hospital this week.

Year 5 – PSHE

Year 5 were visited by the residents of Brackenhill Court this morning as part of the Intergenerational linking project.  We have been exchanging letters and cards since September, so it was lovely to finally meet in person!  We were able to ask lots of questions and find out about their lives.  We hope we can visit them at Brackenhill Court soon!  #intergenerationallinking #newfriends #brackenhillcourt

Year 3 – PSHE

This week in year 3, the children had their first ‘Road Safety’ session. These were very useful as the children recapped road safety in class, followed by practising in a real life situation. They crossed different types of roads and responded very well to the instructor.
