Today, Year 6 were visited by Road Safety team!

We heard Charlie’s story and this helped us understand how to stay safe by the roads and avoid distractions while near them.

Year 2 – PSHE

Year 2 have been enjoying learning about healthy foods and a balanced diet in PSHE. This week we thought about dental hygiene and ways we can look after our teeth! We thought about foods that are good for our teeth and foods that are bad for our teeth 🦷🪥😀

Year 6 – Wider Experiences

This week, Year 6 had a special visit from the firefighters at Odsal Fire Station to learn all about staying safe during bonfire season. The team delivered an engaging session highlighting essential bonfire and firework safety tips, as well as discussing the local impact of anti-social behaviour.

Year 3 – PSHE

Year 3 painted on pebbles this week and added powerful words and messages that can make a positive difference in the world. They are excited to gift them to their linking school friends when they visit us next week, to celebrate the friendships they have built together. #Year3 #LinkingSchools #KindnessMatters #WeGrowTogether

Year 3 – PSHE

his week in PSHE Ash class explored simple self-care techniques to help us when we feel worried. We made our own Calm Jars and talked about how they can help us slow down, breathe, and feel more settled. The children really enjoyed creating them and learning how to use them as a calming tool. Take a look at our lovely Calm Jars!

Step into the NHS – Year 5

Aspen Class took part in Step into the NHS Day, where we learned about the wide range of careers within the NHS. We discovered that the NHS includes many more roles than just doctors and nurses, with lots of different jobs that help keep people healthy and safe. To celebrate our learning, we also entered the art competition by creating posters to showcase what we had discovered.

Year 3 – PSHE

Our Job Detectives in Ash were busy today! 🔍 They worked together to guess different job roles within the NHS and learn more about the people who keep it running. Great teamwork and lots of fun!

Year 2 – PSHE

In Year 2 we celebrated International Women’s Day and learned about the life of Amelia Earhart, a brave pilot who followed her dream of flying. She showed the world that women can do amazing things and achieve their goals. We learned that we can all be anything we dream if we believe in ourselves and work hard.

Reception – PSHE

The children in Reception have had a special visitor – our school nurse! She talked to the children about her important job and how she helps to keep us healthy. She measured how tall we have grown and how much we weigh, and also checked our ears to see how well we can hear. The children were brilliant and learned how nurses help us to look after our bodies.

Year 1 – PSHE

As part of Mental Health week, Spruce class is working towards developing an attitude of gratitude! We chose somebody in our class and showed them that we are grateful for them. Then, we were busy journaling by drawing a picture of somebody we appreciate. #MentalHealthWeek #MyHappyMind
