This week we have been doing lots of research into captive breeding and looking at the declining populations of the red squirrel (in UK) and the wild boar (in Hong Kong). We looked at arguments for and against captive breeding, and held a class debate where we discussed alternative viewpoints. The children learned that there are always two sides to an argument, and it is important to research both sides before coming to your own conclusion.
