Brackenhill Primary School strives to work with the local community for the benefit of our pupils and the community we serve. Take a look at some of the projects we have supported below.
Community – Art
This week our Art advocates took part in an exciting workshop with The United Art Project to start to design and create a banner for Brackenhill Park. Our artists used their skills to each create a section of the banner, which looks amazing so far! Well done! #Art #Brackenhill #FriendsofBrackenhillPark

Year 4 – PSHE – Community
This week, Year 4 have been busy writing letters to their future selves. The children have reflected on the things that are special to them and the memories those things hold. From treasured objects to meaningful experiences, they have explored what makes these moments so important and why they want to remember them. #Bradford25 #CityOfCulture

Community
We collected an impressive £235.37 for Macmillan Cancer Support during our coffee morning last week. We enjoyed the occasion so much that it lasted all day, and we were delighted to have both the children and their parents participate! A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the staff who either baked, brought cakes or made donations, and to our wonderful families who kindly donated while buying sweet treats at the end of the day.

Community – NSPCC
Last year, we participated in a fundraising event for the NSPCC and successfully gathered an impressive £304.82. We received a wonderful letter from the NSPCC expressing gratitude for our contribution—it was truly our pleasure! #NSPCC

Community
On Friday, we celebrated our annual summer fair and what a remarkable event it turned out to be! There were tasty treats, entertaining games, engaging activities and even an amusing moment with Mr. Parker getting soaked with water! The day was blessed with glorious sunshine and filled with laughter and joy. We are deeply thankful to our wonderful staff, families and community for their support in making this event such a success.

Community – Year 5
We received a wonderful note from the Intergenerational Linking Project, with whom we have collaborated over the past two years. Our Year 5 students visit the nearby assisted living facility, and the residents come to our school as well. They also exchange cards and messages throughout the year.

Community
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our amazing choir for dedicating part of their Saturday to delight the community at Brackenhill Park. Their performance was outstanding, and Mrs. Ishtiaq, who also attended, felt immense pride in their achievement!

Community – Father’s Day
This week, we hosted our annual Father’s Day celebration at school. The weather was perfect with the sun shining; everyone had an amazing time! Families enjoyed breakfast together before trying activities like arts and crafts and a lively football game! #DadsAreTheBest#FathersDay
