This week, Year 3 visited the Gurdwara Singh Sabha in Bradford, a very special place of worship for Sikhs! We learned all about Sikhi, taking off our shoes and covering our heads respectfully as we explored. It was fascinating to discover the Five Ks – the special articles of faith Sikhs wear like the Kesh (uncut hair) and Kara (steel bracelet), each with a special meaning. We also saw incredible artefacts, including the holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib.. We learned that everyone is welcome and that community is so important in Sikhi, making it a truly peaceful and educational visit for us all!
