For Science Week, Larch Class learned about the Coal Tit and how different beaks help birds pick up different types of food. We carried out an experiment using spoons, tweezers and our fingers as “beaks” to pick up sequins (insects), acorns (nuts), and seeds. After discussing our results, we finished by drawing our own Coal Tits.
