In Nursery this week we have been very busy!
In Maths, we have been exploring shapes and how they fit together. The children have been busy pushing objects through different shaped holes, matching shapes on puzzles and using blocks to build their own simple structures. They are beginning to choose shapes for specific purposes and enjoy experimenting with how they can fit or stack together. It’s been wonderful to see their problem-solving skills and creativity growing through play!
With a focus on the season, the children have been creating beautiful leaf collages in the art area. They have enjoyed exploring the colours of autumn using tissue paper to design their own vibrant leaves. Through this activity, the children have been developing their fine motor skills as they tear, scrunch, and stick the tissue paper. It’s been lovely to see their creativity shine as they celebrate the changing season!
